Mehndi (henna) being done for my friend's wedding. All the way from her fingertips up above her elbows. And from her toes to her knees. Let me remind you, these take 3-4 hours to dry, and everyone of us (including me) who got henna could not move AT ALL. Good thing I only got mine below to my elbows only.

henna is a plant that makes the dye used for traditional hand designs that Indian women wear for special occasions. It lasts longer on your hands (mine lasted a little more than 2 weeks). The most intricate ones are done for brides and women part of the wedding (like me and few others). But there are alot of fairs and carnivals in the U.S that have henna booths and do little designs for women and girls just for the fun of it. Mehndi is another name for henna. Hope that helps :)

It took place in Agra, India (where the Taj Mahal is!). It was! I haven't seen a wedding for so long, my culture's one for that matter. It's so hectic and it expanded for a week! (for all the parties and exchanges prior to the actual wedding). But it was fun  My friend's wedding sari with all the diamond studs was worth half a million dollars! Or more :XD:

Btw, you never read my sequel to my Vampire Knight fanfiction! Lol, do you still like VK? Just wondering. Here it is: [link] I'm almost done :D

yah, I've done many times here, but the material used here and in India are completely different. I will post a better pic of the aftermath, or at least, how much was done to my friend.

And maybe another one with all our hands together :)
